If the Christian life isn’t producing what you hoped it would
what do you do?
What about when pursuing God isn’t fun anymore, what should you do?
Some people start out well in ministry, but somewhere along the line they decide to hang it up, leave the ministry, and go do something else.
Here are 5 things to help:
1. Clarify— Confusion can be one of the biggest things to hinder us from following the voice of God. The devil will try to tell you you’re not called. But you clarify the call of God that is on your life. Tell the devil, “I’m called of God, and you’re a liar!
2. Purify—If the Christian life has turned into a drag, sin may have gotten in. Get the sin out of your life or you’ll be miserable. After he made mistakes, David prayed, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners shall be converted to You” (Ps. 51:10–13 NKJV).
3. Simplify—Maybe you’ve loaded yourself down with so much that there is no way you can ever get it done. Ask yourself, “Is this a good thing, or is this a God thing?”
4. Modify—You’ll have to make some changes. Too many times people go to the altar and practice remorse rather than repentance. “Remorse” is trying to feel sorry for things you like to do with no intent in your heart to change (or modify). “Repent” means to go back up to the highest level.
5. Magnify—Don’t look at where you are today. Look at where you’re going. If you’ll magnify God and call on Him, He will answer and show you great and mighty things to come.
